Conference “Lightweight Structures in Civil Engineering – LSCE”
This Privacy Policy applies to all editions of the LSCE conference unless the organizer of a given edition decides otherwise.
§1. General provisions
- This Privacy Policy defines the rules for processing personal data in connection with the organization of the conference “Lightweight Structures in Civil Engineering – LSCE”, organized within the LSCE conference series (hereinafter referred to as the Conference).
- The Policy applies to all Conference participants, including authors, presenters and other persons using forms available on the Conference website.
§2. Data controller
- The controller of personal data is the organizer of a given edition of the Conference indicated on the official Conference website.
- The controller processes personal data in accordance with applicable law, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
§3. Scope of processed data
- The following personal data may be processed:
• name and surname,
• email address,
• affiliation (institution, organization),
• address data,
• invoice data (including tax identification number),
• other data provided voluntarily in forms.
§4. Purposes of data processing
- Personal data are processed for the purpose of:
• organization and implementation of the Conference,
• participant registration,
• handling scientific submissions,
• preparation of Conference materials,
• communication with participants,
• financial settlements and issuing invoices,
• archiving Conference documentation,
• documentation and promotion of the Conference, including recording and dissemination of participants’ image, provided that the participant has the right to object to such processing.
§5. Legal basis for processing
- Personal data are processed on the basis of:
• Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract related to participation in the Conference,
• Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with legal obligations,
• Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent, where applicable,
• Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests of the controller.
§6. Data recipients
- Personal data may be shared with:
• co-organizers of the Conference,
• technical and organizational service providers,
• payment and accounting service providers,
• public authorities authorized by law.
§7. Data retention period
- Personal data are stored for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of the Conference and its documentation, as well as for the period required by law.
§8. Rights of data subjects
- Data subjects have the right to:
• access their data,
• rectify data,
• erase data,
• restrict processing,
• data portability,
• object to processing,
• file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
§9. Final provisions
- Providing personal data is voluntary; however, it is necessary to participate in the Conference.
- This Policy shall enter into force on the date of its publication on the Conference website.
