Conference Regulations

“Lightweight Structures in Civil Engineering – LSCE”

These Regulations apply to all editions of the LSCE conference unless the organizer of a given edition decides otherwise.

§1. General provisions

  1. The scientific conference “Lightweight Structures in Civil Engineering – LSCE”, hereinafter referred to as the Conference, is a recurring scientific event devoted to lightweight structures in civil engineering and architecture.
  2. The Conference is organized within the long-standing LSCE series and in alignment with the activities of the IASS Polish Chapters, continuing the achievements of previous editions.
  3. These Regulations define the general rules of participation in the Conference and apply to all its editions unless the organizer of a given edition decides otherwise.
  4. The organizer of a given edition of the Conference is the entity specified on the official Conference website and is responsible for its organization, publications and the processing of participants’ personal data.
  5. Information regarding a given edition of the Conference, in particular its organizer, date, venue and programme, is published on the official Conference website.
  6. The official Conference website constitutes the primary source of up-to-date information regarding individual editions of the Conference.

§2. Participation in the Conference

  1. Participants may include:
    •  academic staff,
    •  doctoral candidates,
    •  students,
    •  designers and representatives of engineering practice,
    •  other persons interested in the Conference topic.
  2. Participation in the Conference requires:
    •  registration via the registration form available on the Conference website,
    •  payment of the conference fee, if applicable.
  3. Detailed information on registration, fees and forms of participation is published on the Conference website.
  4. The organizer reserves the right to refuse participation in the Conference in justified cases.

§3. Scientific submissions

  1. Participants may submit proposals for papers or posters in the form of abstracts or other materials provided for a given edition of the Conference.
  2. Submissions are subject to academic evaluation by the Scientific Committee of the Conference.
  3. The organizer reserves the right to:
    •  reject a submission that does not meet formal or academic requirements,
    •  change the form of presentation of a submitted work.
  4. Detailed requirements for the preparation of submissions are set out in the Author Guidelines published on the Conference website.

§4. Conference publications

  1. Submissions may be selected for publication in the Conference materials, in particular in the Book of Abstracts or in other publications related to the Conference.
  2. Detailed publication rules, including copyright and licensing matters, are set out in the Publication Policy.

§5. Conference fees

  1. The amount of conference fees, payment deadlines and the scope of services provided are published on the Conference website.
  2. If the organizer provides for the possibility of withdrawal or refunds, the relevant rules are published on the Conference website.

§6. Personal data

  1. The controller of the personal data of Conference participants is the organizer of a given edition of the Conference.
  2. Personal data are processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the Conference website.
  3. Providing personal data is voluntary; however, it is necessary for the registration process and participation in the Conference.

§7. Conference documentation

  1. The organizer may document the course of the Conference in the form of:
    •  photographs,
    •  audio recordings,
    •  video recordings.
  2. These materials may be used for informational, promotional and archival purposes related to the Conference.

§8. Changes and cancellation

  1. The organizer reserves the right to introduce changes to the Conference programme.
  2. In justified cases, the organizer may change the form of the Conference or cancel the event, without liability for any consequences resulting from such changes.
  3. Current information regarding the Conference is published on its official website.

§9. Final provisions

  1. Registration for the Conference constitutes acceptance of these Regulations.
  2. These Regulations shall enter into force on the date of their publication on the Conference website.
