Conference “Lightweight Structures in Civil Engineering – LSCE”
§1. General provisions
- This Publication Policy defines the principles governing the qualification, preparation, and publication of abstracts included in scientific submissions within the conference “Lightweight Structures in Civil Engineering – LSCE”, organised as part of the LSCE series (hereinafter referred to as the Conference).
- This Policy applies to all publications related to the Conference, in particular:
• the Book of Abstracts,
• post-conference publications (if applicable).
§2. Types of submissions and publications
- Conference participants may submit abstracts of planned scientific presentations, in particular:
• oral presentations,
• posters,
• other forms specified for a given edition of the Conference. - Abstracts may be accepted for publication in:
• the Conference Book of Abstracts,
• other publications related to the Conference. - The detailed scope of publications for a given edition of the Conference is specified on the Conference website.
§3. Review process
- All submissions, in particular the abstracts contained therein, are subject to academic evaluation by the Scientific Committee of the Conference.
- The evaluation includes, in particular:
• compliance with the Conference topics,
• scientific or design quality,
• originality,
• methodological correctness (where applicable),
• quality of presentation of results. - The Organiser reserves the right to:
• reject a submission,
• assign a submission to a different form of presentation (e.g. poster instead of oral presentation),
• accept a submission without publication.
§4. Editorial requirements
- Abstracts must be prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines available on the Conference website and using the provided template.
- Failure to meet formal requirements may result in:
• rejection of the submission,
• the need to introduce revisions prior to publication.
§5. Copyright and licence
- Authors retain copyright to their work.
- Authors grant the Conference Organiser a non-exclusive, free-of-charge licence to:
• publish the abstract in Conference materials,
• distribute the abstract in printed and electronic form,
• archive the materials. - The licence covers publication within the Conference, its archives, and the LSCE series.
§6. Authors’ declarations
- Authors are required to submit a declaration confirming that:
• the abstract is original,
• it does not infringe the rights of third parties,
• all co-authors have approved the submission and publication,
• they hold the rights to all materials used. - The Organiser may refuse publication in the absence of such a declaration.
§7. Ethical principles
- The following are not permitted:
• plagiarism,
• self-plagiarism,
• copyright infringement,
• scientific misconduct. - In the event of violations, the Organiser has the right to:
• reject the submission,
• withdraw the publication,
• inform relevant institutions.
§8. Use of artificial intelligence (AI)
- The use of artificial intelligence tools in the preparation of abstracts is permitted solely for auxiliary purposes, in particular:
• language editing,
• stylistic correction,
• information retrieval. - Artificial intelligence tools may not be listed as co-authors.
- If AI tools are used in a manner that affects the substantive content of the abstract, the author is obliged to disclose this fact.
- The author bears full responsibility for the content of the abstract, including:
• substantive accuracy,
• data reliability,
• conclusions and interpretations. - The Organiser reserves the right to reject submissions that do not comply with the above principles.
§9. Responsibility
- Authors bear sole responsibility for the content of the abstract.
- The Organiser shall not be held responsible for:
• the content of publications,
• copyright infringements committed by authors.
